We’re thrilled to host the First Annual Coach Horton Big Scramble Golf Tournament in honor of Coach Jamie Horton. All proceeds will go to fund the Jamie Horton Scholarship.
Coach English Trail Run
We’re thrilled to host the Coach English Trail Run, a heartfelt event that honors the memory of Coach Brandon English. On March 30th, 2024, at Blankets Creek Park,
participants will tackle a scenic 3-mile(ish) trail run. But it’s more than just a race—it’s a celebration of community, camaraderie, and commitment.
After Race Festival Events:
Live Music: Groove to the rhythm as you conquer the trails.
Fire Pits: Gather ’round the warmth and share stories and make S’mores.
Food and Drinks: Fuel up with delicious treats from Kona Ice and Community BBQ
Push-Up Challenge: Every race entry includes free entry into this fun challenge. Big prizes to the winners!
Medals: Top male and female finishers, along with age group winners, will receive medals.
Kids Fun Run: Little runners can join in the excitement too!
The Cause:
Proceeds from the Coach English Trail Run will support two vital initiatives:
The Coach English Scholarship: An annual scholarship in Coach English’s name, benefiting a Cherokee County High School graduate pursuing a degree in Physical Education or a health-related field.
The Varsity Jacket Program: Ensuring that every student-athlete, regardless of financial circumstances, can proudly wear their varsity jacket.

Annual Christmas Tree Burn
and Chili Cookoff
Every year, our community comes together for an unforgettable event—the Christmas Tree Burn and Chili Cookoff. This year, we gathered 800 trees to fuel a roaring fire that
warmed our hearts and raised funds for the Building Fires Varsity Jacket program. As live music filled the air, families and friends huddled around a huge firepit, sharing stories
and laughter. Not one, but three burn piles illuminated the night, symbolizing our commitment to supporting student-athletes. And as the flames danced, the aroma of
simmering chili wafted through the crowd. It’s more than an event; it’s a tradition that ignites community spirit and pride. Join us next year as we continue to build brighter
futures!
