About Building Fires

BuildingFires develops today’s youth by building stronger more passionate inner fires that will be positive contributors to tomorrows community. From athletics to academics, BuildingFires is there every step of the way to help them achieve their goals. BuildingFires also works within the local business community to help provide opportunities in the future through work-study programs, job shares, internships, scholarship programs and life coaching.

Jamie Horton Scholarship

Awarded to a deserving graduate of Cherokee High School who intends to pursue a degree in Coaching, Physical Education and/or Special Education.

Brandon English Scholarship

Awarded to a deserving graduate of a Cherokee County School District (CCSD) school, who intends to pursue a career in Physical Education and/or a health and wellness related field.

Varsity Jacket Program

Building Fires is a group of local men and women that want to give back to kids that have worked hard to earn a Varsity jacket but don’t have the financial means to get one.
