After reflecting on the incredible event we recently hosted, I am filled with immense joy and gratitude. The inaugural Coach Horton’s BIG SCRAMBLE Annual Golf Classic was an enormous success, and this achievement is due to each and every one of you.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to all the players and sponsors who participated in the BIG SCRAMBLE. Your generosity and enthusiasm were crucial to making this event a remarkable success. Additionally, I want to express my deepest appreciation to our dedicated committee of volunteers. Your hard work and sacrifices away from your families enabled us to host this event in honor of Jamie Horton.

I am thrilled to announce that, with your invaluable support, we raised over $22,000 for the Jamie Horton Memorial Scholarship! This amount more than doubled our initial goal when we began organizing the tournament. The overwhelming support from our community is a testament to the impact Jamie had on all of us and the character and compassion of every one of you.

These funds will allow us to continue awarding the annual scholarship in Jamie’s name to a deserving senior who embodies Jamie’s passion for teaching, coaching, and mentoring. This scholarship ensures that Jamie’s legacy lives on, inspiring future generations to follow in his footsteps. As the scholarship fund grows, our goal is to expand the award to multiple recipients each year.

We should all take pride in what we achieved at the BIG SCRAMBLE. Jamie Horton meant the world to me personally, and it is clear that he had a significant impact on many others as well.
